Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18 of 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix discovered early that she was gifted in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished in second place in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and signed a pro-contract with Adidas. In 2004 she was enrolled at her first year at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to take home the 200 meters race. In 2007 she defended the title by beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three places in all her races.
