Charisma Carpenter

 

 Charisma Carpenter (born July 23rd 1970) is an American actress. She was Cordelia Chase, a supernatural drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999), and the spin-off series Angel (1999–2004). She also appeared on Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012 strong>

 



 

  Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada) as the daughter Christine Carpenter who was an employee at a bird sanctuary, and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. She is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Las Vegas. she was also a part of a group of dancers and singers that performed in the Las Vegas Valley when she was just nine years old.

 



 

  Carpenter Carpenter, who was 15 at the time, and her family moved with her family to Rosarito Beach in Baja California, Mexico [2] and later to San Diego, California. She was a student at Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter has traveled throughout Europe after her graduation. When she returned to San Diego, she worked as a clerk at a video store, an aerobics instructor, as well as in property management. She played cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992, she relocated to Los Angeles.

 



 

  In the water in San Diego in 1991, she and two male friends were assaulted by Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex- San Diego police officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue them at gunpoint. In the course of the battle that ensued, her two friends and Hubbard were shot, causing him to flee from the scene; both friends survived the attack. Hubbard was taken into custody and convicted. He was sentenced to 55 years of prison for a string of sexual assaults. Carpenter took Hubbard's flashlight, one of the police's flashlights, from the beach. The flashlight was left at the scene. The flashlight was the most important evidence against Hubbard.

 



 

  Carpenter was listed as No. 31 on the AskMen's Top 99 Most Desirable Women 2002[30as well as No. 44 on their list for 2005. In spite of this, Carpenter has stated she doesn't consider herself to be an sex icon. Carpenter was on the cover of the magazine and also in a ten-page nude pictorial of the issue in June of 2004 from Playboy magazine. People magazine asked her 2005 whether she would be willing to do another photo for Playboy. Playboy was something I took on for a very specific purpose. Playboy was more than an investment in my financial future but also a perfect fit for my current life situation. Following the birth of my son, I had gained 50 pounds in the course of pregnancy.
